politics is personal for all too many people, strike a chord with values, what planks and platforms mean for me, what trends a political party follows or creates. politics is about the people, about the men women and children of a nation, and their well being, but there needs to be a balance, there's more to it than you and me, there's more to it than main street. There's Wall Street, there's the United Nations, international discourse, a global economy, a nation as an entity, with an image, with a strength and weaknesses among other nations. but getting back to the people that make up the body politic, there is a variation, the United States is a melting pot, not a single type, value system holding sway, morals, belief structures, and always pluses and minuses, specialization, division, the no unification, and maybe the watchmen had it right, but not so much nuclear devastation, but a divided house, instead, with too many playing card supports, but the short view, the narrow view, the immediate view, the good for me, no good for the country that matters, or that the good for me will be good for the country because I am that country, but so is the other person with whom I share no background, values, or morals with. again it's the single vs. the whole, a division combination, a quandry
