culture swings, from the me first, selfish, first post, quick as you can to more involved, holistic, in depth. but first it swung from the involved, the slow, the qualitative to the quick and dirty, top soil, surface skimming society. Slow food movement. Internet bloggers and columnists decrying, the end of journalism, not the end of the medium, but the profession that flourished because of it. but how to reconcile? a well researched article vs. the first post, first on the scene, breaking news update? or just have both? but who pays for the well researched article? who pays for research? i only visit, actually I just read everything in google reader, i only visit a few sites that don't have rss feeds, but i also only pay attention to the ones that are updated often.
